This specialist Olympic arm of Dorset Lettings is designed to assist owners of quality accommodation in the setting up of lettings both short-term (one or two weeks) and longer term (one or two months) possibly on an ongoing basis in the build up to and during the Olympic Sailing events of 2012.

Our Marketing
Clearly, this differs somewhat from Dorset Lettings core activity which is the letting and management of long term (six months plus) residential accommodation and for this reason our website has been expertly designed to attract and receive maximum enquiry from the target Olympic market.

In addition individual contact has been made with all potential Olympic team entrants, The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games) Team Dorset and many other useful links both locally and nationally. We shall, of course, also advertise our service more widely as the Olympic Games approach and believe that in the meanwhile, the internet will provide the largest proportion of enquiry.

Your Property
We will offer properties in excellent order, ranging from one bedroom apartments to large 4/5 bedroom houses. Our expertise, built up over more than 25 years, in finding tenants and offering a full management service for let properties will provide landlords with peace of mind in the knowledge that their letting is being expertly set up and managed.

Rent levels will undoubtedly increase during the build-up period, we shall be carefully monitoring these and will give property owners a rent evaluation based on current information, comparisons between traditional holiday and long term rents, length of tenancy required and of course the premium effect of the Olympics.

Scale of Charges
We will discuss fully with individual property owners their requirements for management of their let property, however, our standard charge for the letting and management of an “Olympic let” will be 17.5% of gross rent plus VAT.
